The HTC Legend Is An Appealing Android Phone

Arguably the most impressive handset to date from HTC, the HTC legend is the epitome of modern day Smartphone. Utilising the android operating system and a number of other key features ranging from touchscreen technology, a five mega pixel digital camera and super fast Wi-Fi Internet access this popular handset has won many fans and for good reason.

The HTC legend utilises class 10 versions of both GPRS & EGE as its initial means of connecting to cellular networks in all but the most isolated of locations. Wi-Fi technology detects the signals provided by local wireless Internet routers to provide a super fast Internet connection, however when such a signal is not detected the legend relies on 3G coverage for its Internet access courtesy of an HSDPA connection at speeds of up to 7.2 mega bytes per second. Both micro USB and Bluetooth connections are provided as standard if allowing the handset to be connected both directly and wirelessly to compatible phones and computers.

The internal phonebook within the HTC Legend can store a practically endless number of entries and fields and includes the popular Photocall feature. This allows a photo to be taken on the phone was camera and assigned to a particular contact within the phonebook. This is then in turn displayed on the screen whenever that person is in contact. A micro SD card slot is provided by for additional storage of data such as music tracks, video clips and photos etc and can accommodate a memory card of up to 32 GB.

The HTC Legend is equipped with a digital camera boasting five mega pixels which operates at a pixel resolution of 2592x 1944 pixels resulting in still images of extremely high quality. Autofocus and an LED flash are provided to simplify the task of taking quality images even in low lighting conditions. As you may expect, this camera can also shoot video as an alternative method of image capture. GPS allows the camera to utilise the geo-tagging facility which automatically records the location at which a photo was taken.

The HTC Legend is relatively compact such a feature rich and Smartphone, measuring 112x 56.3x11.5 millimetres and weighs just 126 g. Its slimline profile and light weight makes it a comfortable phone to hold and use on the move.

The HTC Legend boasts a long list of additional features and applications which gives it a high level of everyday functionality and versatility. The versatile internal media player supports most of the common file formats of both music and video files whilst a stereo FM radio player and a number of pre-installed games offer additional entertainment choices. Access to several popular websites is included thanks to dedicated applications. These include Google and YouTube. A handy organiser and voice memo recorder offer useful productivity tools whilst a document viewer is sure to appeal to business users so they can remain productive whilst out of the office.

With its impressive list of specifications coupled with its desirable to aesthetics, the HTC Legend deserves its spot as one of the flagship models for the renowned Smartphone manufacturer.
